How to participate
This page is related ot the 2008 edition of the competition. The
next edition of this competition has not been announced yet. Please

Rules
Please note that the entries must be postmarked before or on
December 31, 2008 (date of post office stamp). Other rules:
- The maximum length of the essay is 10,000 words.
- Essays submitted must be unpublished.
- Only essays written in the English language may be submitted to the competition.
- The participant has not passed his/her Master's degree (or the equivalent thereof) before 1 January 2008.
- The essay will remain anonymous to preserve fairness and anonymity in the judging process. The entrant should therefore not put his/her name or other identification marks on the essay.

Who can participate
Only students of universities all over the world are eligible to participate in the 2008 Isaac Roet Prize competition. Since only students of universities may participate in the competition, the essay must be accompanied by:
- a statement by the lecturer who is supervising the student's essay stating that the essay is the student's own work and meets the requirements of the university with respect to student essays, and
- a statement from the administration of the university stating that the entrant is a student attending the university, or else a copy of the student card or university ID card.
Together with the two statements above, the essay must be accompanied by an entry form listing the entrant's name, address, telephone number, email, name of university, university address, university telephone and internet site. The form must be signed by the participant, stating that he/she acknowledges, understands and agrees to be bound by the rules, regulations and entry requirements.

How to submit
The entry form, the lecturer's statement, proof of enrolment
at the university and two copies of the essay submitted for
consideration must be sent to the Isaac
Roet Prize Committee 2008.
The winner(s) of the 2008 Isaac Roet Prize will be announced on or
about, May 1, 2009.

class economists.
